So I splurged a little and bought a pack of 1997 Donruss Signature Series. Sure, I’d like a whole box, but at $200 per, I’ll take the “cheap” route and get a pack. The pack itself is very unique, as you can see from the image below.

And now, for the contents.

#22 Paul Molitor

#32 Michael Tucker

#73 Moises Alou

#80, Rusty Greer

And now, for the autograph.

Edgar Renteria Auto Redemption

That’s right, I got a friggin’ redemption in a 13-year old product. Of all the luck in the world, I had to pull an Edgar Renteria auto redemption. I think I would have been happier with a Jaret Wright auto in the pack honestly. Do you think Panini will honor the redemption?

  1. It would be cool if companies did something about expired redemption cards. I’m reluctant to purchase some products based solely on getting an expired redemption.

    • I honestly didn’t think there were redemptions in the product until tonight!

  2. Wow dude, forgive me for finding this hilarious…well I bought a box of 2007 Sp Authentic and pulled an expired Phil Hughes Letterman Auto and they honored it…not sure about a DECADE later though, might be tough haha

    • Don’t worry, I was laughing my ass off when that was pulled.

      • Tim, what are you interested in? Let me know and maybe we can put together some trades
