Who knew a box of 1991 Topps would be so difficult to sort through? I busted a box earlier this week and will get a review going this week sometime. I probably won’t do a checklist since I’m not sure if I want to complete the set or not, thought the adventurer in me is saying “go for it”.
I’ve succeeded in getting the Crusade site going, now I just need to get help from other collectors that would like to display their images on the site, as well as get a trade section going for those that need to complete their own collection. www.crusadecollectors.com
That’s it for now, taking a break today and working on cleaning the house.

I have some doubles from 1991 Topps if you were serious about completing that set. I don’t have anywhere near enough to complete the set so I’d be willing to trade whatever. It’s 91 Topps so I wouldn’t ask for much.
Thanks. Once I get them sorted and figure out what I want to do, I’ll definitely let you know!
I miss the days when sorting through a box took a while. The first complete boxes that I ever purchased were 1991 Topps and 1991 Pro Set Football and it took a while to collate all of the cards. I think that’s part of why it seemed like you got more value out of those boxes. As a set collector, I love putting a set together and everything that goes along with that. These days, when you open a box that only contains around 100 cards, not only is the box completely opened before you know it, but there isn’t a lot of time spent sorting either.
I’m always tempted to buy cheap old wax and put together a set. I could get 4 boxes for $20-$30 from my shop, but I’d end up with THOUSANDS of doubles, which is the only thing holding me back. I couldn’t care less about the value (or lack thereof), it’s the adventure that’d be fun! One of these days I’m gonna pick up a box or two of ’87 Topps and go for it. I’ll use the extras for fire kindling.
Ahhh… roasting marshmallows over ’87 Topps sounds nice…
I love the adventure. Remember when it took more than 2 boxes to complete a set because all 792 cards were released as one series? That’s my thrill :)
