I was looking at random posts and eBay auctions regarding the infamous Superfractor and I couldn’t help but wonder where I’ve seen that pattern before.
Sure, 1996 Bowman’s Best had the Atomic Refractors which carry the same pattern, but also the 1997 Finest Silver Embossed Refractors did as well.
The thing with these cards though, is the fact that they aren’t numbered 1/1, but they had astronomical insertion ratios which can make it seem like they’re more rare than they really are.
I love the pattern and the clean photography. Plus, how can you not like a card that’s embossed as well?

Beautiful card.97 Finest is a great product.
The 1997 Finest product is BY FAR my favorite of all the finest runs. They not only had the great silver refractors that you pointed out, but some of the 1997 gold refractors used that atomic pattern that bowman’s best used. The crazy thing about the 1997 Refractors is that you can get them on eBay for next to nothing.
I remember opening boxes and boxes of the stuff and never being able to grab an embossed refractor to save my life!
Tell Topps to take a note, the finest from the 1990’s is the way finest is supposed to look – not all the random junk they have now.
I agree, I haven’t been impressed with Finest since the 90’s. Sure, we now have colors for refractors, but they don’t do anything for me.
